WHO: SSM Cardinal Glennon Sun Run & SSM Glennon Gallop
WHEN: September 22, 2018 & September 30th, 2018
WHAT: The 5k Sun Run supports patients, children and donors by giving back to the Children’s Fund. The Children’s Fund helps with research and care for families and children in need of Cardinal Glennon’s exceptional healthcare services.
The Glennon Gallop proceeds benefit Danis Pediatric Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Danis Pediatrics provides outpatient pediatric primary care services for children, newborn to 18 years of age, regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Originally designed to accommodate 5,000 patient visits annually, Danis Pediatrics has grown into two locations in St. Louis and now home to more than 22,000 patient visits every year.
HOW WE HELPED: Utopia helped bring joy and celebration to the participants with music and dancing, prioritizing fun in a magical fundraiser. The Utopia team had kids and adults dancing before and after the 5k run/walk. Our emcees and DJ’s at both the Glennon Gallop and Sun Run not only helped engage the crowd pre and post event but during the the event as well. At SSM Sun Run, our second DJ set up right in front of the Arch encouraging runners to power through the last leg of their run.
FINAL WORDS: We love our participation with Cardinal Glennon and being able to join their team in providing celebration to the many families and children touched by their care. Seeing children that have been cured, and their families celebrating fills our hearts beyond words.
The Emcee of emcees is driven by connecting people and creating a space where people of all ages can celebrate together. Kerry played both high school and college football, but his passion is entertainment and connecting people.
Our Lead DJ, Roe White, has been with Utopia for 14 years. Roe is also an owner of Utopia. The fate of the company lies largely in Roe’s hands as he cultivates and trains new talent.
