THE TEACHER
VIDEO ONE "The Teacher"
Instructor:
INTRO—-Good morning class. My name is Jule Niles. I’d like to welcome you to John Casablancas orientation.
You’ve taken a big step in the right direction. My task is help you get on the path to success.
Before you can be a success… you have to learn how to conduct yourself as a professional. Part of being professional is learning a few basic rules. Lets refer to these rules as Jule’s Rules.
( goes to whiteboard and writes JULE’S RULES )
Rule Number 1.
(writes on board - Dress Professionally)
When you come to class dress professionally.
NO Flip Flops. NO Sneakers. And I see these kids wearing jeans with holes in the knees. Jeans are a tatters. No wife beaters, camo overalls, short shorts, pull up your hip huggers. Not professional. And let’s leave the flashy clothing for Saturday nights.
Rule Number 2.
(goes to whiteboard and writes - Be On Time)
Jule’s Rules - if you're on time, you’re late. Always show up to class early and prepared … and be dressed professionally.
Rule Number 3.
(goes to whiteboard and writes -Don’t Be Absent)
We’re here to teach and guide you. You can’t learn if you’re not here. And if you’re not here … you need to notify us. And by notify … that means letting your instructors know before class starts. Call ahead and always give proper notice if you’re not going to make it to class.
Rule Number 4.
(goes to whiteboard and writes- No Phones in Class)
If you were modeling on a runway - would you take a telephone with you? When I enrolled in Casablancas we didn’t have to worry about these phones. Cords didn’t stretch that far.
Its disruptive, rude, and unprofessional. And none of that texting either. Leave your phone off and in your handbags or britches.
Rule Number 5.
(goes to whiteboard and writes - No Food in Class)
Get your refreshments before you come to class. No multi-tasking. You can’t focus if your eating or drinking while taking in your lessons. Its disruptive, its rude and unprofessional.
